Lors de son séjour, Sébastien Pons a rasemblé des documents sous forme de photographies qu’il appelle Notes.
Ce sont ces Notes qu’ il présente au public et qui sont le terreau fertile pour ses expériences plastiques.

Son travail s’amorce généralement d’une rencontre avec un contexte, une situation, une vitrine dans un musée archéologique avec des casques donnera une séquence d’œuvres.
Un médium glisse vers l’autre, un souci de dessin trouvera une extension en sculpture. Il repose les questions là où dans une autre matérialité, opère un déplacement. Le dessin n’étant pas considéré comme préparatoire, ni la sculpture comme une fin en soi; La relation est rebondie.

La mire is pleased to invite you to the open house at ZK/U on 22 sd of September from 7pm.
Sebastien Pons is staying for two months of production as part of the international AIR programme A ROOF ABOVE YOUR HEAD launched by la mire in 2011.

During his staying, Sébastien Pons put together documents in the form of photographs that he calls Notes. He present these Notes present the public and which are the breeding ground for his esthetic experiments.
His artworks is born from an encounter with a context, a situation, so a display case in an archaeological museum with helmets can give a sequence of works.
one medium slides towards the other, a concern for drawing will find an extension in sculpture. It is about resting the question or questions in another materiality, of operating a displacement, the drawing not being considered as preparatory, nor the sculpture as an end in itself; the relationship is rebound.
